Far Out Johnnies Blondies Debut

The Far Out Johnnies are making their debut at Blondie’s on 540 Valencia St in San Francisco. As usual, we play exclusively from John Hartford's compositions and recorded gems including fiddle tunes, pop country, and the style that he invented, jam-grass featured on the legendary Aereo-Plain album. We'll add a few new ones as we prepare for our CBA Father's Day Festival show in June. There will be an open bluegrass jam @ 6:30, and we start at 8:45. Free, 21+. Come out and experience Hartford-mania paired with Blonde's classic double highball drinks.

The Far Out Johnnies Head West to the Riptide

The Far Out Johnnies are excited to bring their John Hartford tribute band to the seminal far west venue, the Riptide February 15 at 3639 Taraval Street. We'll cover 2 sets of John's classics with of course a couple new ones at a new venue for us so head out to the ocean for some Sunday night fun. Check out the cool poster by super fan Ilene Sandler!

Far Out Johnnies Debut at Rite Spot Cafe

The Johnnies are excited to make their debut at the legendary and vaunted Rite Spot Cafe in the heart of the San Francisco Mission district. We'll be getting back into the "Hartford" groove after these long hot summer days with great music, food, friends, and maybe a surprise. Please come out for dinner, drinks or to just say hi. Show starts after the weekly Sunday jam at 453 Cortland Ave in San Francisco. The FOJs are Clare Simmons (bass), Jordan Klein(banjo), Dave Watson(fiddle), Marques Saint "Iggy" Ignatius(guitar), Dave Berry(mandolin).

The Far Out Johnnies return with another fun, sometimes rowdy set of material by maestro John Hartford to our favorite bluegrass pub scene, The Liberties at 998 Guerrero St in San Francisco. We keep adding new material from Mr Hartford's vast collection of songs and instrumentals, aka fiddle tunes. The show is free for all ages tips show and preceded by a friendly open bluegrass jam at 5:30. Great food food, drink, friends, and music make for a fun evening come rain or shine. All are welcome to this FREE event with 3 stages of music, food/beer/wine vendors and plenty of stuff for the kids to do being held in this one of a kind, world-class park in downtown San Francisco (Blocks from BART/MUNI). Bluegrass picking circles will also be happening all day in the park so bring your instruments and be a part of the Bay Area's bluegrass and roots scene.
